Description
Regina snorted nervous. Dark clouds where uniting in the distance and Adrine hoped it would wait with raining till she had done her jumping number.
The track was very simple with only a few high jumps. Normally this tack would be a piece of cake for a great mare like Regina but in the rain...?
'Why is this always happening on the moment you almost have to enter the ring!' Sheila said. On the last moment the braid in Regina's mane came loose while Adrine lifted in the saddle. With trembling hands Sheila weaved a quick braid in the manes.
'That's why I don't like long manes,' Joey said grinning.
'O, shut up! Would you cut mane like Regina's?' Adrine answered with raising her eyebrow.
'Hmmm, nhaa you're right. Her manes are to beautiful to cut. But you have to say, sometimes it's very irritating. While jumping for instance. '
'Ok, yes,' Adrine smiled.
The bell ringed and just on that moment a little raindrop splattered on Regina's nose. She snorted loud but no other drops fell down.
'Good luck!' Sheila shouted at Adrine and Joey waved before closing the fence.
The sand was still moist thanks to another rain shower before. At the first jump Regina slipped a little but the rest of the track went perfect. Without penalty and with a good time.
The people who watched the show applauded and just on that moment the clouds broke... Rain fell out the sky and everybody ran as fast as they can to the barn.
Also Sheila and Joey ran away to seek shelter. Adrine sighed and prodded Regina to walk to the stables. When they arrived there and Adrine stood on the ground again she saw her two friend walk to her under an umbrella.
Adrine stripped her gloves of her wet hands and wronged the water out the black gloves. In those 5 minutes from the ring to the stables she and her horse where completely sodded.
Regina whined quiet and decided that she hated water from that moment on.
